How much does the Reliable Pricing System cost?A standard RPS package consists of one [1] Office Manual and three [3] Tech Manuals all of which are individually designed to suit your specific requirements. Can the Parts Markup information be changed to meet my firms requirements?Yes. We can adjust the margin on parts to a multiplier that meets your firms particular requirements. Can the Labour Rate be changed to meet my firms requirements?Yes. The manuals are specifically customized for each customer to represent their rates. Are changes to the manuals distributed regularly? No. You will receive any interim changes to the manuals when you submit your increased labour rate. Any parts prices which have been adjusted since your last order will now be introduced into your manuals and shipped along with your revised labour rate.
Note: An increase of your labour rate by $2.00 will mean that a single technician who has billed 1200 hours in a year will have paid for the new manuals. Are multiple manufacturers represented in the manuals?Yes. Most Canadian manufacturers prices are represented in the manuals. Are the manufacturers represented in the manuals organized in some way?Yes. The manuals are fully customized with all manufacturers being listed alphabetically. Can my firm obtain additional manuals beyond the standard package?Yes. Additional office manuals are $400.00 CDN each and tech manuals are $225.00 CDN each. Are pictures of the listed parts present in the manual?Yes. There is a pictorial section located at the back of the manual. What if a required repair is not listed in the book?We suggest that the technician pick a similar repair scenario and use its pricing. If it is a common repair, it should be submitted to Reliable Pricing System so that it may be incorporated in the next revision of the manuals. What does it take to make the RPS program work?Recognize that the system is designed to be beneficial to the customer, the technician and you - the contractor.
Train all your staff in the benefits and how to operate the Reliable Pricing System.
When a potential customer calls and asks for your service rates you quote a flat rate diagnostic fee. The diagnostic fee will cover all travel time plus 30 to 40 minutes of time for the technician to diagnose the system. Once the technician has made a diagnosis he will then look up the necessary repairs in his Reliable Pricing System manual and give the customer a fixed quote for the repairs.
You can adjust the diagnostic fee depending on your workload. If work is slow you can lower the diagnostic fee or raise it when you are very busy. With Reliable Pricing System, you will lose less customers because of rate comparison. Other contractors will quote hourly rates with combinations of truck charges and travel time. You will quote one fee and then provide fixed quotes for any additional work. Do you have software for this system? What we can supply is a CD of the tech book, which is on an ASCII file, and most companys are converting this to their system. It can be specific for the CUC system. It carries a one time charge of $500.00, future renewels will be included at regular book charges. It must be ordered at the same time as your intial order so that it will match your custom books. Is your system available for US Contractors? No. We do not have a system that will work in the United States, as the Canadian parts pricing is quite different from US parts pricing, it is not applicable South of the Border. What are my payment options? We accept the following forms of payment:
